MAXPREPS “TOP 25” PRESEASON RANKING: 1
BALLISLIFE “FAB 50” RANKING: 3

The Dade County powerhouse, under fifth-year coach Andrew Moran, look to make history with a third consecutive state championship, something that hasn’t happened in Florida’s two largest classifications since Fort Lauderdale Dillard’s “four-peat” from 2000-03. America’s undisputed No. 1 junior, 6-9 JR Cameron Boozer (21.1 ppg, 11.3 rpg, 4.2 apg, 2.0 blocks), and his twin brother 6-3 JR Cayden Boozer (15.1 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 4.3 apg) are the catalysts, with Cameron earning MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year honors and Cayden erupting for 21 points, three rebounds and four steals in the 50-48 state title win over Winter Haven. The Explorers are deeper than ever with another brother duo – Michigan State commit 6-3 SR Jase Richardson (14 ppg, 5 rpg, 5 apg at Las Vegas Bishop Gorman), the third-leading scorer at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, and 6-5 SOPH Jaxon Richardson (8 ppg, 6 rpg at Gorman), sons of former NBA slam dunk contest champion Jason Richardson – joining other returning starters 6-7 SR Malik Abdullahi (8.9 ppg, 5.3 rpg), a Princeton recruit, and 6-3 JR Benny Fragela (7.2 ppg). Two more new faces to remember are 6-5 FRESH Anthony Walcott and 5-9 FRESH Zacarus Dawson. … Cameron Boozer had 24 points and 12 rebounds to fuel USA Basketball’s dominating 118-38 gold-medal rout of Canada in the U16 FIBA Americas Championships in Yucatan, Mexico, winning MVP honors for a team that outscored opponents by 64 points per outing over a six-game span. … At the Peach Jam, the Boozer twins finished first (Cayden 6.7) and third (Cameron 5.1) in assists while leading the Nightrydas to the 16U championship. The Florida-based team suffered only one loss during the entire spring/summer circuit.
