Trogans At A Glance

The Trojans only got into this year’s City of Palms in September, yet they might be one of the most balanced and dangerous teams in the entire field. Four players on head coach Keith Gatlin’s squad have already made college commitments – forwards 6-6 SR Aaron Wiggins (Maryland) and 6-8 SR Jaylen Hoard (Wake Forest), and twin guards 6-1 JR Keyshaun Langley (14.9 ppg, 4.2 apg, 3.0 rpg) and 6-1 JR Kobe Langley (both committed to Virginia Tech), who transferred from NCHSAA 4A state champ Southwest Guilford. Three of Wesleyan’s five losses came against rival Greensboro Day by a combined 10 points, including a 63-60 defeat in the 3A state title game. Gatlin, beginning his ninth season at Wesleyan Christian, ranks third on the University of Maryland’s all-time assists list with 649 from 1984-88.
