HEAD COACH: David Peavy
SEPA burst into prominence a year ago after hiring David Peavy (172-31 and four state titles in six seasons at Duncanville, Texas) as its head coach, and now eyes even higher goals, powered by 6-3 SR Beckham Black (16.4 ppg, 9.6 apg, 5.4 rpg), the brother of Orlando Magic guard Anthony Black, and 6-10 SR C.J. Rosser (16.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg), who are both consensus national top-3 seniors. The Falcons juggled lineups throughout much of the season, but still scored wins over Montverde Academy, IMG Academy and Riviera Prep, before putting together a 15-game winning streak that ended only with a 68-63 loss to Prolific Prep – despite Black’s 16 points and 11 rebounds – in the Grind Session World Championship final at the Owensboro (Ky.) Sportscenter. Another highly regarded prospect is 6-5 SR Marri Wesley.
