Coach Matt Herting’s reigning Thimlar Tribute champions make their first title defense, led by a pair of returning standouts in 6-7 SR Jerry Ashley (14 ppg, 10 rpg, 3 blocks) and 6-0 Gavin Williams (19.4 ppg, 2.4 steals). They will be joined by a high-profile transfer in 6-7 Austin Leslie, who led Gainesville’s The Rock to an SIAA state championship as a junior, scoring 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting from 3-point range and earning MVP honors in the Lions’ 58-47 win over DME Academy. He averaged 12.9 points and 5.3 rebounds as a freshman at Evangelical Christian in 2021-22.
