Under coach Larry Murphy, Gibbs’ all-underclass roster shook off back-to-back losses to end its regular season and strung together seven straight playoff wins to earn the school’s first state title since 1969, including a 58-55 three-OT thriller over North Broward Prep in the 4A semifinals. Everyone is back in 2024-25, led by breakout 6-3 SOPH Oneal Delancy (15.4 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 2.1 apg, 2.1 steals), leading scorer 6-1 SR Jacob Daniels (18.4 ppg, 4.6 apg) and menacing DePaul commit 7-1 SR Isaiah Medina (9.6 ppg, 6.8 rpg). … Delancy quickly made a name for himself with a season-high 27 points to go along with four boards, four assists and four steals in a December win over Boca Ciega.
