Justices At A Glance

A late addition to this year’s City of Palms, head coach Ty White’s Justices are an intriguing young team, led by dynamic 6-10 SOPH Isaiah Todd (12.8 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 2.1 blocks), the consensus No. 1 sophomore in America. A pair of returning starters 6-7 JR Greg Jones (18.4 ppg, 8.9 rpg) and 6-2 JR Demarr McRae (10.4 ppg, 4.0 rpg) should help John Marshall – whose seven losses last season came against seven different teams — become more consistent in 2017-18. A pair of strong showings at the Tournament of Champions (Marietta, GA) in late December, though, a 68-63 victory over Miami Christian and a 68-66 loss to Mableton Pebblebrook, showed just how high this program’s ceiling could be. Transfer 6-1 JR Aubrey Merritt and talented 5-10 SOPH Elijah Seward (4.8 ppg) will add depth.
