HEAD COACH: Ryan Bernardi (857-939-4618) … EMAIL: Bernardi.ryan@gmail.com
Whether spending his winters in Florida (last year’s new home) or Napa Valley, head coach Ryan Bernardi produces the same results – having won Grind Session World Championships in all four of his seasons in charge. This year’s Crew will be among the favorites to make it five after a return trip to Fort Myers for the most star-studded COP Signature Series ever. A historic rim-protecting unit will pair bouncy SIAA Regional tournament MVP 6-11 SR Lewis Uvwo (11.0 ppg, 9.4 rpg and a staggering 6.0 blocks per game at the prestigious Nike EYBL Peach Jam in July) with transfer 7-0 JR Bamba Touray (IMG Academy), while crafty left-hander 6-4 SR Nasir Anderson (13 ppg, 8 apg, 5 rpg, 4 steals) returns to play an even more prominent role. There is an array of other high-major options at Bernardi’s disposal, including well-traveled transfer 6-7 SR Malachi Jordan (17.3 ppg for Dream City Christian in EYBL Scholastic play), 6-1 JR Machai White (13.5 ppg, 2.8 apg, 2.8 rpg for Brewster Academy in EYBL Scholastic), 6-5 SR Braxton Keathley (33.2 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 4.7 apg at Martin County KY) and returning 6-7 SOPH Draydne McDaniel.
