City of Palms Classic always delivers top talent – ESPN top 100 2018

There’s a reason Mike Krzyzewski, John Calipari and Roy Williams have all been spotted in the stands at the Culligan City of Palms Classic. The top three players in the ESPN 100 college recruiting database for the class of 2019 appeared in the most recent City of Palms. The same is true for five of the top 10 on the ESPN list.

Center James Wiseman of Memphis East is No. 1 on the list, with offers from Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina and his hometown Memphis Tigers, among other elite schools. Vernon Carey Jr. is No. 2, with Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State and North Carolina all chasing the big man who stars for 2017 City of Palms champion University School (Fort Lauderdale).

Point guard Cole Anthony is No. 3, having just completed a transfer from Archbishop Molloy (Queens, New York) to perennial powerhouse Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Virginia). The son of former NBA player Greg Anthony has offers from more than a dozen elite college programs, including defending NCAA champ Villanova.

Teammates Bryan Antoine and Scottie Lewis of the Ranney School (Tinton Falls, New Jersey) are No. 9 and No. 10, respectively. Antoine, a shooting guard, has visits planned to Villanova, Duke, Kentucky and Florida. All four schools have made offers to Lewis, a small forward, so Ranney’s wing tandem may be staying together at the next level.
