Many say he is the best high school player to come out of Ohio since the great LeBron James— or at least the best to come out of their shared hometown of Akron. We’re talking about Oak Hill Academy’s (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) 6-6 senior Chris Livingston. 

Livingston’s a powerful perimeter player who has been ranked among the top-10 prospects in the 2022 class for as long as national sites have been ranking that group, and he remains one of the very best players in the country. Currently No. 3 on ESPN.com, No. 4 on 247Sports and No. 8 on Rivals.com, the 210-pounder averaged 31.1 points per game, 15.8 rebounds per game, 6.5 assists per game, 4.7 steals per game and 4.3 blocks per game last season. Like King James 20 years ago, Livingston was named Gatorade’s Ohio Player of the Year last season. 

Livingston transferred to Oak Hill on September 7 and will add to the already potent lineup that Head Coach Steve Smith will bring to Fort Myers. Livingston has not made his college choice known yet, but is expected to choose from the following four schools on October 15: Georgetown, Memphis, Kentucky, and Tennessee State.
